Reviews
Booking in advance a must, as they fill up quick. Booked a table for 6 for Sunday Dinner.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Home cooked Sunday roast dinner was lovely as where the deserts. Although extremely busy, staff were excellent. Having been here 2 years before I can say it’s still highly recommended.
Pub is a quaint 14th-century pub with lots of character including open beams, several smaller rooms and slate flagstone floors.

I first visited this pub just over a year ago now and have kept going back ever since. Really tasty food in hefty portions, so you certainly won’t go away hungry! I recommend the beef lasagne with chips as the salad which accompanies it is lovely and includes much more than just your usual boring leaves…curried pasta, coleslaw, pickled red cabbage and even a bit of Waldorf salad too and I’m sure there was more. My partner enjoys their rump steak which is always cooked to his liking and served with chips, onion rings and salad. Overall the pub has a lovely feel with friendly staff so if your visiting the area, it’s well worth a stop.

Ate here every night for a week. Wonderful food, never got fed up with the menu which is extensive. Very large meals so don’t be embarrassed if you can’t finish! You are in good company. Will really miss eating here now we have had to come home. Thanks from the table 5 crew.
